What is branding?
Branding is a way to define and differential a person's or product's unique promise of value—their unique benefit to their target market. Personal branding is permission to be yourself.

Why personal branding?
Just as the attributes of great products are immediately visualized and internalized when the product is seen or named (think Microsoft, think Cheerios, think Kleenex, etc.) the same can happen with a person (think Gates, think Winfrey, think Carter.)

Who is personal branding for?
Personal branding is for anyone—CEOs, business owners, professionals, consultants, speakers, leaders, politicians, and others—anyone for whom an authentic, clear, and distinctive message of value is useful for personal confidence in mission and purpose as well as for the attraction of ideal clients / constituents.

What are the benefits?

  • A clear brand is clear communication. Clear communication of a brand clears a path to increased success and compensation / revenue / understanding—in business, commerce, or other areas.
  • In personal branding, the clarification of a brand allows one to make better and more authentically driven business decisions.
  • An authentic and clear brand offers a huge confidence boost to the branded individual. Understanding value and motivation empowers goal-centered action and such action first achieves foundational goals and then continues to grow a business, reputation, or internal organization power in larger and larger steps.
  • A strong personal brand delivers Self-Understanding, Confidence, Visibility, Focus, Premium Compensation / Revenue, Job / Center / Business security and control not tied to market trends, and Achievement of goals.

How does personal branding enhance job search and career success?

  • Human branding hits emotions, and it manifests as an eminently practical way to find the best fit for a position--from both sides! Personal brand knowledge is a win-win for you as a candidate and for the decision-maker.
  • Personal branding is powerful on paper. Branding makes a c-level resume a good read about you--a fascinating and valuable resource--rather than a boring read about a mundane career history.
  • Personal branding gives your resume YOUR voice before you make in-person contact. It creates chemistry on paper that takes an initial meeting from the decision-maker’s wary--"Hmm, I hope this guy is worth my time..." to a "Wow, I really want to meet this guy!" It makes a cold or cool contact a warm one before a "hello" ever happens.
  • When it comes to the interview, you'll be in your element...you'll know who you are,  why you're special, what your ROI will be, and in what environment you'll work best. Communication and chemistry build fast and furious.
  • C-level offers are made and success follows.
  • Ramp-up in your new position is easier, quicker, and better. You, your teams, your core management group, and your BOD will blend seamlessly and work with mutual respect because your  hire has been made with authenticity--with pure understanding of your value, personality, and management style.
  • Internal and external visibility and career potential will be enhanced because you'll be working with passion, competence, mission, and the ability to achieve the extraordinary--all things that in their rarity, attract attention.
  • Opportunities will come to you as your reputation grows.
  • You help others work and manage from a position of strength as your ability to mesh authenticity with accomplishment helps colleagues and reports have the courage to do the same.
  • You achieve your goals for yourself, your family, your career, and your world.

What are some common branding misconceptions/myths?

  • That branding is a clever tag-line and logo
  • That branding is just for products, not for people
  • That personal branding is the latest fad or buzz word

How long does it take for a client to complete the process?

The process is largely client driven; although, we strive to complete the brand definition process within six weeks. Deb Dib most often partners with C-level executives in their long-term career management.

I have some strong goals. Will that help my brand?
Yes! Goals provide direction, focus, vitality, purpose, "make it happen" mentality and excitement, control, peace of mind.
